Dewey dB
At the leading edge of new and innovative electronic music, Dewey dB constantly pushes the acoustic envelope with his unique blend of technical wizardry and musical intuition. Inspired initially by the early hip hop/turntablism scene, Dewey found IDM while pursuing his electrical engineering degree and continues to be inspired by bass-heavy, glitchy sounds. He is one of the original founders of Toronto’s Dubslingers crew, a prolific force in Canadian dubstep; along with a solid collection of Canadian music websites, Dewey is the brain behind GlitchHopForum.com, using his tech powers to unite the global midtempo scene. His yearly Shambhala Festival mixes have become legendary - and his tunes are building an international following, including an upcoming release on Muti Music. Currently based in Vancouver, Dewey has infiltrated the Integrated Grime Unit with his skills for building robots and ripping 8-bit samples, and can be heard weekly on Glitch FM Radio.
